Harefield Opticians is all about David and Elizabeth Baddeley. We are the owners and sole partners. We founded the practice in 2007 to provide eye care of the highest quality to the community of Harefield and the surrounding neighbourhood.
It’s hard to believe that we’ve crossed the half decade mark during which time the practice has matured and grown into the original vision and aspiration we first set out to achieve. Our community focus has created a sense of real loyalty. Many of our local clients after experiencing our professionalism go on to recommend us with unwavering confidence.
We are both ophthalmic opticians (optometrists) and our combined 50 years of professional service and expertise has kept us in good stead with a growing client base not only from Harefield but from surrounding towns and even counties.
David transferred from the University of Cape Town to study Optometry at Aston University in Birmingham at the age of 20. Following graduation in 1984 he worked for a number of opticians in North London before opening his own practice in Ruislip in 1990. He decided to move on from that practice in 2007 to create Harefield Opticians with Elizabeth.
In 2005 David increased his clinical skills by achieving his Diploma in Ophthalmology.
David has been involved in raising funds for the charities Guide Dogs for the Blind (cycling across Cuba) and Vision Aid Overseas (working at an eye camp in India).
Elizabeth graduated from the City University in London in 1985. Following graduation she worked in private practice in St Albans before leaving to start a family in 1992. She worked at David’s practice in Ruislip on a part-time basis from 1994 until she started Harefield Opticians with David in 2007.
